on the ground floor you can find the great hall, the entrance hall, the transfiguration classroom, the staffroom and filch's office.

you can find moaning myrtles' bathroom is on the second floor, along with an empty corridor which leads to dumbledore's office and the defence against the dark arts office.

here on the third floor the charms classroom can be found, along with the trophy room and the forbidden corridor.

on the fourth floor there is a corridor, a boys bathroom, the arithmancy classroom and the library.

on the fifth floor there is the elite prefects bathroom, a statue of boris the bewildered and a staircase leading to the fourth floor.

on the sixth floor there is a boys and girls bathroom and the ancient runes classroom.

here on the seventh floor, near the top of the school the astronomy and divination classrooms can be found in the towers. flitwick's office is here along with some corridors.

the entrance is on the seventh floor although most of it is in the tower. the common room and dormitories can be found here.

the entrance doesn't ask for a password - no, you must answer a question to enter. to enter, you must pass through the portrait hole on the seventh floor. inside are the dormitories and the common room.

you reach the hufflepuff common room and dormitories by saying the correct password. the entrance is found near the kitchens.

the lake is rumoured to be home to a giant squid. who knows? it's a great place to hang out though.

the courtyard is a nice place to go to at break as it has quite a few benches to sit on and talk to your friends.

quidditch is the favourite sport of the wizarding world. whether you're here to cheer them on, are on the team or just want to practice this is the place to be.

the gardens are home to lots of places. for one, care of magical creatures takes place here.

this pub is popular with many students. you can come for a chat with friends, a sit down or try some of the delicious beverages.

the hogs head is nowhere near as popular as the three broomsticks, mainly because it is in a side street off the main road. still, it's a good place to go if you don't want to be overheard...

this shop sells magical items and the like and also repairs broken items.

this joke shop is a favourite of pranksters. and of course, whoever wants to scare the first years or prank their friends.

a favourite of the female variety of wizards, this shop sells lots of clothes. not only robes, as you may have thought. gladrags also sells popular muggle clothing and accessories. hold back, ladies!

the post office has lots of owls - including tiny Scops for local deliveries! sometimes large packages are left here, not being able to be carried by the owl or fit through a window.

every boy's worst nightmare. madame puddifoot's tea shop is decorated in garish pink and white - believe me, it's much worse on valentines day! still, they serve some pretty good tea.

the only place that sells musical devices that actually work at hogwarts! a huge favourite amongst the music-lovers at hogwarts.

a very popular place to go on dates or with friends. albert's is an ice cream parlour joined with a bookstore. so, if you need ice cream and a new quill or stationary, albert's is the place to go!

in a little, flower-filled courtyard behind Albert's, there is a stone bench. it's a great place to go when you need some peace... or just feel like making out 'privately'.

the most infamous place in england, as it is proudly known as. the shrieking shack is claimed to be haunted. who knows?

diagon alley is the main place to go to get all of your schooling items. or the only place to go. there are many different shops here.
