{{ lily rosalie evans }} lookout point had always been a frequent haunt of lily's. it was a special place to her. whenever she felt sad she would come here to be alone with her thoughts. you see, not too many people knew about lookout point. sometimes couples who were walking through the gardens stumbled across it but she had never heard anyone talk about it. the name of the rock was actually etched into it, probably by magic. the rock itself was pretty impressive. it was huge and rose steadily in height until the point of it, when it was over six feet. lily dug her hands into the pockets of her dark blue cardigan and tossed her long red hair over her shoulder, nearly dislodging the blue satin bow headband which lay across it. her black flat shoes slapped across the grass, the only sound in the silence. it was dark out - easily past nine. but that didn't matter - lily was head girl and was allowed out a little later. if she bumped into any teachers she could just say she was doing an extra patrol. lily didn't enjoy lying but she knew that she had to sometimes. the seventh year reached the rock and began to climb up, digging her feet into the grooves in the rock that were used as steps. she walked right up to the end of the rock and carefully sat down, trying not to get her black jeans too ripped. lily took one hand from her pocket and carefully touched the necklace that lay around her neck. it was a gold heart on a chain that had been the last present petunia had ever gotten her. lily treasured it and wore it a lot.
}} lily looked into the darkness sadly, tears pricking at her eyes. she raised up one arm and wiped her eyes with blue painted nails, clearing away the tears fiercely. she wasn't one to cry. she was the one mopping up the tears, smoothing things over and the comforter. lily owed it to her friends to stay strong for them and make everything right again when things went wrong. but that was getting harder lately - she couldn't help but to sometimes feel like everything was wrong with her. her sister wouldn't even look at her anymore, heidi was spending more and more time with the marauders and she just felt like the world was ending. lily drew her legs up and hugged her knees, still looking into the darkness. the stars were so bright tonight and gave her a little happiness. lily suddenly choked up and buried her head in her legs and started to cry. her shoulders shook with her sobs, she was crying that hard. why did she have to be lily evans?

For some it was late right now, but for James Ignotius Potter, this time of the day was just when all the fun started. He liked, when there wasn't any quidditchpractice to go for a long run around the lake and then end up in the garden. It was such a great trip and he enjoyed it very much. Yes, he had this kind of privileges because he was head boy. And he liked that very much.
Right now it was wednesday at nine o clock and he was out for his daily run. The weather was perfect for this. The wind... well there was practically no wind. As he came closer towards his destination he heard sobbing and couldn't recognize it right away. Then he saw a lot of blue and thought right away it was a Ravenclaw sitting there, crying. As he came closer and as he looked at the girl, he could see who it really was - Lily Evans?! But James had never seen her sad or crying.
He stopped running and walked closer at her, silent of course. When he was standing right next to her, he sat down at the bench. He looked at her with a concerned look. "Lily... Whats the matter? Please tell me. I hate seeing you like this.." He said and patted her shoulder gently with a smile. He was still wearing his running clothes and felt a bit sweaty, but that didn't mattered right now.

{{ lily rosalie evans }} it was cold but lily didn't even feel it. tears dripped onto her arms as she cried. lily was just reaching the point where you try to stop - the part with all the gasping when she heard quiet footfalls approaching her. lily ignored it and tried to stop her sobs. if it was a slytherin it would be horrible to be seen all gasping and tearstained. lily raised her head as the person (whoever it was.) sat down beside her. it wasn't a slytherin but someone just as bad. "oh. it's you,"
she said dully, as energetic as a corpse. james potter, her resident stalker. as he patted her shoulder she flinched slightly at the touch. after a second she wiped her tearstained face with her hand. "god, i'm a state..." she muttered as she cleared away her tears. lily turned her head away from james', not trusting herself not to burst out crying again if she even glanced at him. the red haired gryffindor looked down at her knees silently. she knew that if she spoke she would start crying. lily concentrated on breathing. in and out, in and ouuut. }} it was a well known fact that she didn't like james. but right now she just wanted someone to talk to and she knew, deep down, that james would listen and try to help. lily drew a deep breath and began to speak, her voice cracking slightly. "i..." she paused with a sigh before starting up again, "i guess i just wish that things were different. that petunia still talked to me. i hate going home because of her. our relationship was torn apart because of hogwarts. i wish she understood. i wish...oh i don't know..." she finished, her eyes locked on james'. tears were threatening to come out again. "but you wouldn't know anything about that," she pressed on. "i'm not even sure why i'm telling you this," lily said with a bitter smile. she wasn't one to pour out her feelings to anyone. she never even told heidi the extent of her worries; she just didn't think heidi would understand. lily didn't want to worry anyone with her problems. and here she was, spilling out her heart to the person she normally would never speak a civil word to. The rock was a bit hard to sit on, when you had been running for about fourty five minutes, but James couldn't care less. Lily was sad and he wanted to do anything he could to make her feel better. Why, you might ask - but James cared in situations like this. He hated to see his friends being sad and Lily was beyond sad right now. As she started talking about Petunia, who was, if James remembered correctly was her older sister, James started feeling sorry for her. He could hear in her voice that it touched her deeply and James understood why - he had no siblings on his own, but he felt sorry for her. They had obviously been really close until she left for Hogwarts. Maybe this Petunia girl was a squib? James didn't knew. He listened with interest.
As she finished her talking, he took both his hands around her and hugged her as they sat there. James could be deep and he had emotions like anyone else human being. He preferred to be goofy, thats all, but in serious situations like this, he was the best friend you could ever imagine. "Petunia was never at Hogwarts, was she?" He asked and looked her in the eyes like she did. She then said, that he wouldn't know anything about it. "I might not have siblings, but I am not toally blank though, Lily. You should know that by now. I know people and I know you. And besides.. you can tell me everything. I hope you know that." He said with the most honest smile, ever seen on his lips. He was always honest with Lily. He then gave her a peck on the cheek and smiled again.
